Can you ask for the sweep earlier than arranged

I'm 40 + 5 days see my midwife Friday just gone who said I was 1cm dilated and cervix was very soft and could feel babies head, didn't have the sweep as she said it wouldn't be worth it. I'm booked into see her this Friday again for the sweep but I'm so uncomfortable and ideally want it earlier. Does anyone know if it's possible to request a sweep earlier ?

I had a sweep at 38 weeks I think my mw felt sorry for me coz I was fed up tbh.Its worth asking there's a chance you could get one.I had 4 sweeps and they did nothing unfortunately
