Hi, can anyone recommend a taxi firm that has a car seat for getting a newborn home from kings college hospital (Denmark hill)
Thanks in advance

Most taxi carseats aren't suitable for very you newborns, they tend to be a birth to 4 years seat, but don't have the infant insert, meaning they aren't safe for newborns.

Could you borrow a carseat, or buy one- the joie juva is only £40 and very good.

Technically you don't need a carseat in a taxi. Also in a black cab there's enough space to wheel a pushchair in.

Another alternative is to see if you could be a newborn carseat off Freecycle. Normally second hand isn't recommended but I'm assuming you only need it for this one occasion?

Clockhouse cars (based in Beckenham) do have car seats but as pp said you would need to check if they had the inserts, probably the best solution would be either borrowing/picked up by someone you know who has a seat, or buying a cheaper one if that is possible.
Good luck.

Thank you all for your advice. I phoned clock house cars as they are local but they don't have any as they are not legally required. We don't have a car and I thought they would be much more expensive but I've just found the joie juva from someone on Facebook marketplace for £20, result! Thanks so much for this :)
