Hoping some lovely mumsnetters can help with advice re: choosing our hospital.

Our closest is QE in Woolwich. No experience of maternity services but not great from visits to A&E with DD. Had DD at Kings which was horrific for labour and post-natal although antenatal care was fabulous.

Has anyone had good experiences in this area? Friend raves about how good St Thomas' is but that could be a bit far. Was also looking at Princess Royal Farnborough.

Am planning requesting an elective caesarean due to horrendous labour issues last time, blood transfusions etc so no need for beautiful water birthing suites - am too high risk for any of that sadly!

Sorry you had a bad experience at King's. I've had two babies there and love it. So personally I'd recommend them again but that might not be helpful!

PRUH is also King's so same Trust. May or may not influence you. Have heard good things about it.

Yes I was thinking same trust wasn't a terrible idea as you can have the antenatal scans at Kings who have a world-leading fetal scanning unit but hopefully less busy labour ward at PRUH?
