I wonder if anyone is able to shed some light for me. Yesterday I had stomach pains, was scanned by a midwife, who could see a gestational sac, but nothing inside it. She sent me to the early pregnancy unit as she said this could be a pseudo sac and an eptopic pregnancy, or just too early for her to see anything. Last night the epu was very busy, they took bloods and after a few hours gave me the option of coming back first thing in the morning for a scan with a clearer machine. So this morning I went back, nurse scanned me, had a lot of pain in one place, which said was my ovary. She could see no sign of an eptopic pregnancy, again said the gestational sac was empty and that because of this she said it was probably an unviable pregnancy, or a pregnancy in an unknown place. My blood tests results show I am definitely pregnant. Because of the pain to one side I needed to see a doctor. Whilst waiting for the doctor the pain increased and I had a significant amount of bright red bleeding, but no clots or anything that I saw. After a few hours I saw a doctor, who examined me and said my cervix is closed, bleeding had stopped and to come back next week for another scan to see if this is a miscarriage or not. I've had cramps on and off all day and still have significant pain in one place on my left side, which is more stabby and not crampy. Other than this pain my pregnancy symptoms have almost all gone this evening. Is this loss of pregnancy symptoms a sign if miscarriage?
