One week until my csection! Nerves are rife, sorry for long post, need advice on tubal ligation!

I go in next wednesday for my second ELCS (medical reasons), i have had two natural births prior to my previous section.

The nerves have kicked in, i think experiencing the last one as planned helped as it was relaxed but i did lose more blood than my naturals and am now panicking about that.

I have steroid injections tomorrow & friday as he will be born at 38+1 (again medical reasons, am thrilled to even reach this point as have had placenta problems).

Will have my pre-op on tuesday then in wednesday morning to meet our beautiful boy.

I am also having a tubal ligation during the procedure so i think this is why my nerves are more prominent as its an added element (although I'm happy with this procedure as this is baby #4. My husband and i know our family is complete)

Has anyone any experience of this added element to a planned c-section & did it impact your recovery pain wise? I intend to breastfeed so pain relief options will be limited but at my last one i was only given 1 paracetamol after the birth so intend to take my own.

I just want to be prepared as i struggled with the pain last time.

Thanks for reading!

Sorry you haven't got any any answers to your question @Anm4. I don't know anything about tubal ligation I'm afraid but just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow!

Hi @seeingdots thankyou for replying! They discovered my waters had gone yesterday at my scan so I'm currently cuddling my 7 hour old baby boy. Semi emergency section and tubal ligation went well but we both have an infection from the waters going. X

Not sure if it's much help or use now, but I had a tubal ligation during an operation to remove cysts in both of my ovaries. Having the clips put on didn't impact my recovery time at all and I didn't feel anything untoward as a result (4mths post-surgery now and have no pain or anything)

Wishing you a very speedy recovery OP, enjoy your new little bundle of squish! 😊 x
