Anyone with experiences of North Tees hospital?

Hi,

I'm due to have my 3rd baby in just under 4 weeks time by c section (for medical reasons I aren't allowed a vagunal birth). I've had 2 sections before but in a different area of the country and so far everything about the care I've received is vastly different.

So I would like to know what time will I have to be at the hospital for? I've asked my dr but get told that I will get told the week before which doesn't leave much time for childcare. When I had my other two I had to be in for 7am but I've heard some mums at school say they were told its 6am here?

Also, with my other two I was kept in for 3 nights and 2 nights whereas I've heard rumours that here we are allowed out the next day - by this time with my other two they still wouldn't take the catheter out!

I will be bottle feeding (due to medications I am on so no comments trying to convince me otherwise please) but with my other two we weren't allowed to take our own milk into the hospital - we were told we had to choose a brand they had and they would supply us with the bottles in request. I've asked the dr but again he says I'll be told all info the week before but I would like to prepare before that incase baby comes early. A mum on the school run told me that when she had her baby (2 years ago) at this hospital they told her she had to bring her own in and they had to be the ready made bottle ones, however someone else said that she was told not to bring milk in as its provided. Can anyone shed light on this? I don't mind bringing my own in but don't want to pack things that's aren't needed.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I dont know the answer but could you ring the hospital and ask for advice?

My friend had a csection last year in a hospital close by and was home the next day.

Hi, I had my daughter at North tees. I was also my friends burying partner there.

They provide formula milk, they even ask what brand you would like.

I was out the next day (so was my friend) , but we both had normal vaginal deliveries, so I can't advise on your situation.
