41 weeks - back pain/strong cramps but no contractions?

Hi, as it says in the title really. I'm 41 weeks pregnant with DC3 I've been having back ache all evening and period like cramps but no contractions. Feels worse when I walk around, but not too bad when I'm lying down or on the birthing ball. I was horrendously sick this afternoon and not long had loose bowels. Not even sure why I'm posting really... Distraction technique?! Wishful thinking that this is finally it?!

You'd think I'd be able to tell this is early labour or not as it's my 3rd, but I don't remember getting backache like this before.

Anyone else start off like this?

Probably best to avoid curry if you’re going to be in labour ! Good luck

I'd do anything at this stage to get it moving, you must be so impatient! I think induction is generally slower than natural labour isn't it so better to go into labour naturally.. curry and a shag?!

Just wanted to report back in with the news that we had a little girl! Went into hospital to be induced on Saturday morning. After several days of propess and prostin pessaries, finally had her on Tuesday evening after having my waters broken and then a very rapid 6 hour labour. All fine and we're home with our little (9lb 11oz!) smasher. Thanks everyone who posted xx

Hello everyone. Wanted to get some advice from anyone that can help. I'm currently 40 weeks and 3 days pregnant all day iv had period like pain but it dosnt go away!!! Iv tried paracetamol warm bath hot water bottle but nothing is helping. Is this the start of labour?
