Help and experiences of caesarean scar hematoma

Had ELCS last week. Developed golf ball sized hematoma on monday. Had it drained by consultant, now the wound is just gaping open. Is this normal? Told me to just mop up the ouzing with gauze every so often.

My lochia has also stepped up. Am having floods of blood coming out (no clots) when I stand up and lots of pressure around my vulva before it comes.

Is this normal?

I feel too worried to take the blood thinning injection as I am already bleeding loads.

Sounds like it might not be normal- this certainly wasn’t my experience. I had very little bleeding and no pressure. My wound didn’t gape but then I didn’t have a hematoma. Why not ask your gp to look and refer you back if he is concerned?
