Bloody Hell, I’ve been in labour for 2 days!

3rd baby, you’d think I’d know what to expect. 41+1 now. Had a sweep Monday morning, started contractions Monday night, irregular for 24 hours. Went to hospital last night, contractions stopped, came home. Contractions all day today. Stopped again now. (In Aus if times don’t compute!)
DS2 came in 4 hours, I was expecting this to be over pretty quickly!
Having waters broken in morning, but that’s another 12 hours away!
So so so over it!

I feel your pain! This is my first so nothing to compare to, but I've been having stop/start contractions since last Thursday... soooo over it now!!! Had a sweep Tuesday which did sweet FA, another booked for this afternoon so hoping that does something.
I'm 39+2 and just want this baby out!

The latent phase can be a total ballache. There's something about 3rd babies too. I have two friends who had straightforward labours with 1 and 2 but loooong latent phases with their third. Both had v quick labours when they actually happened.

I hope when labour properly starts it's smooth and manageable 😊
