I'm 35 weeks today & this morning my waters broke. I've been in hospital since this morning & so far, other than the odd tightening, I've had no contractions.

I've had a steroid injection & they've started me on antibiotics.

I've had an ultrasound this afternoon which revealed no water behind baby's spine (spine to my left - limbs to my right) but a reasonable amount around baby's limbs.

If I go in to labour, I've told them that I want a c-section (was supposed to be booking the date for 39 weeks at my consultant appointment this morning but I was obviously "otherwise engaged")

Baby seems fine (feels like it's doing riverdance in there!) But I'm missing DD1 (staying with her Grandparents) & DP is stuck in USA at work until Saturday at the earliest.

Fortunately, I have my Mum on standby to be with me IF anything starts happening or I need to go for a section.

What no-one can tell me (don't worry - I'm not expecting anyone to get their crystal balls out & start trying to guess - although tomorrow night's EuroMillion numbers would be great!) Is how likely it is that I'll go in to labour or what is likely to happen.

I guess it's just a waiting game now.
