Waters broke 11PM, I was induced around midnight (1 cm dilated already), and in full labour by 1AM. Fully dilated by around 8.30, the pushing stage started at about 9AM, baby born 10.15AM.

Wed evening: first lot of gel; no effect
Thu morning: second lot of gel; some twinches but no real effect
Thu evening: third lot of gel; this lead to contractions from the early hours onwards
Fri morning: labour ward at 1cm dilated; had pethidine for pain relief; had syntocin drip attached about 11am. Got to 2cm dilated but depaite painful contractions no further dilated all day. Eventually managed to break waters but to no avail. Has epidural around lunch time for extra pain relief. No progress
Friday night: c section carried out due to failure to progress.

So summary: about 50 hours of induction leading to c section for failure to progress
