The more I think about it, the more my gut tells me to go for VBAC. Am only 14 weeks pg with No2 but want to start getting in the 'Yes, I can do it' mindset as soon as possible. Can anyone recommend good books or audio CD's that would help me conquer my fear of labour (DS was elective section due to being breech so I've never even experienced labour).

Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth

Birthing from Within

Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering - some of the chapters in that book are on the website so have linked to one of the articles

See also Natural Birth after Caeseran

I also have a word.doc if VBAC links and info, if you wish to have it let me know.

smiling...i hope you get your VBAC...if you want to talk off board about it, please CAT me

agree with all teh links from Klaw....also making sure you are fully informed and comfortable with your choice is important

beleiving your body can do this, and that you and your body are in harmony to birth this baby is a really big part of VBAc

if i have not suggested so already, i;d look at having a doula

i decided on a VBAC before DD was even conceived, it is never to early to start....

ooh yes, a doula is a fab idea, she can also advise you on any worries you have as the pregnancy progresses and just having someone to talk to about your feelings is really helpful
