hi Ladies....i'm 36 weeks and have had a couple of episodes of nasty painful BHs since 33 weeks.

It's all gone a bit odd this morning. I've had quite a few BH, but still not in any regular sort of pattern...sometimes 20 mins apart sometimes 3 or 4, but occasionally being gripped by very very nasty pains which feel like they're in the region of my cervix and it all feels a painful down there, sort of stinging/burning type pain. I can only liken it to feeling like the baby is trying to chew its way out....ouch!!

I've got a bit of cramping low down on my bump which is like period pain and is fairly constant and a bit of backache, but think that might be cos I've sat on my fat ass in front of the computer all morning.

I'm also feeling very low and a little bit nauseous and restless.

My MW is on holiday this week, and I don't want to bother the hospital with yet another false alarm.

I was induced with my DS so not sure I'd recognise symptoms of early labour?

Any thoughts on the crippling fanjo pains??

crippling fanjo pain....often that is the baby starting to engage, and nestle further down into the pelvis, then you get the lovely side effect of weeing every 10 minutes..and feeling like you are sat on the baby;s head !!

BH at this stage are good !! nothing to worry about, they are helping get LO into position, ready for the off....

stinging / burning...might you have a UTI? which might also explain the backache and feeling a bit poorly...might be worth a doctor;s appointment to check that out !

keep your fluids up, rest, and take care of yourself, and try to get checked out as you are feeling unwell x

Cheers Lulu.....you'd think I'd never done this before...

I don't think its a UTI, but I'm going to the ante-natal clinic tomorrow at the hospital so I'll take a sample with me. Baby engaged with a painful thunk last week, so as you say may be settling lower down.

I'll keep a eye on the BHs and if they get more regular (or painful) I'll call the hospital then. They did say they'd rather I called sooner because of the previous c-section...

Thanks

no worries, i was induced with DS, so i was worried i would not know when i was in labour with DD....i knew !!! LOL!!

if you are concerned, then get checked out, better to bother a midwife, than end up poorly..good you have check up tomorrow!
