Tear still fragile from 1st birth will I tear again with 2nd?

Really worried about my induction on Wednesday because with my first birth, 2 and a half years ago, I had and episiotomy and a tear. This was by far worse than the whole labour and the aftermath of the swelling tearing the stitches and the infection was just traumatising. Still now occasionally when my partner and I have sex it'll bleed, sting and swell down towards the left where the worst part was. Can anybody say they surprised themselves and went into a second labour still fragile yet didn't have the same thing happen? Really want honest answers!

I had 3rd degree tear, no time for episiotomy. I had to go into surgery to have it sewn up. It was a mess for ages and sex was uncomfortable if not painful for a long time.
2nd child was after a 2 and half year gap. I had an episiotomy so not as bad. It healed much more quickly and no problems at all afterwards.

My SIL had a 3rd degree tear and was told she'd need a c section in any future pregnancy as if she tore again they wouldn't be able to repair it.
