Independent Midwives demo in Trafalgar Square

Regarding the insurance issue for independent midwives, there is a demo planned for Trafalgar Square this Friday. I think there is an RCM conference going on.

I don't know the details but my midwife has just mentioned it to me. I think they are all going to wear black and let off black balloons at 10.30am to coincide with the conference. I shall go as it will be a little trip out for me and dd.

I know it is late notice and many people will be working but I thought I would advertise this here as I'm not sure how many people know about it, and I reckon the more people go the better.

If you can't make it there is going to be another demo in Brighton in May outside the labour party conference.

i cannot go as i live in merseyside !!! but hope it does some good and raises awareness

Obviously I can't go as I'm in Scotland but I intend to watch Panarama on Thursday at 8pm for the Midwives Under Cover hour long special....

I can't go, sadly, but will post a message on the Childbirth International doula list as there may be some people in London who can go.
