ELCS with 3 older kids (under 5) to look after?

Due with no 4 shortly and looking increasingly likely I'm going to be advised to schedule a CS rather than a VB. Anyone done this with 3+ older kids still to look after? Was it manageable? Tips?
Mine will be 18m, 3 and 4.5. DH is really busy at this time of year so can't take off too much time (and is a shocker for actually working when he says he won't be!). No other family around to help out.

I don't have any older children, but I have recently had an elective. The first 5 days after I felt extremely rough and I could hardly look after myself. By about 10 days after i felt so much better and could do light housework, washing, change beds, easy cooking and imagine I could have looked after other children in short doses. By 3 weeks I felt 100% better and just had to avoid heavy lifting, but I could even drive.

If you can get DH to take 3 weeks off I would recommend this, at the very least 2, but with 3 other little ones I would really recommend 3.

Recovery from elective is better than emergency in my opinion, many friends had emergency sections and heir recovery was far worse.
