Any experience of a Hernia above the tummy button and birth?

I have a hernia above my tummy button, its not painful, but am wondering if it is going to stop me pushing effectively. I wonder if I may need a CS? Any others been through a normal birth with a fist sized hernia in that place?

ask your midwife/consultant...what is there take on it?

I had a smaller hernia (probably 1\4 of the size of yours) in my belly button when i was pregnant with my first child. I was really worried that it would affect pushing as it was quite painful on occasions, so I asked my doctor and he told me that it wouldn't be an issue whatsover and he was right! It caused me no problems at all.
