Hi please could someone help me.
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have had all this in my pants. I had it a few weeks ago too, is it a show or mucus plug or is it just (sorry) discharge?
It's extremely thick and does not smell, it's like wallpaper paste!
I'm so sorry if this is tmi for people but this is what happens to us pregnant ladies

Looks like a bit of the plug starting to come away.

It can come out in bits, perhaps this is what is happening

missanony · 10/07/2017 21:47

Kind of, usually have a bit of dried blood in there when labour is close. What you've shown can happen for a good few weeks

namechangeasembarressed · 10/07/2017 21:55

Not had any blood?
It has happened a few times, how much plug is there!
It's not like discharge and after it happens I do feel aching in cervix. No signs of contractions.
Never had this with my first as was induced.

Probably quite a lot more! Plus it can regenerate.

Regenerate! Nice! Shock

Mine looked like this, was never bloody and regenerated 😱 for 3 weeks!

WhingyNinja · 10/07/2017 23:03

It really ramped up in the days coming up to DD being born, it got pretty messy. My waters also EXPLODED across the room just before I started pushing so I was all about the dramatic messiness 😝

Mine started to come away two days before birth. At first it was a slight orange and jelly like, then it became pink as I went into labour. But it definitely looks like the plug and your cervix is getting ready - could be a while yet though Smile

ILikeyourHairyHands · 11/07/2017 14:36

Looks like it could be, both of mine came at 37 weeks so no worries there, childbirth is not an exact science though so it could be a while, I would let your MW know though if you seem to be losing any fluid.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 11/07/2017 14:38

I was Obs led for my first and my waters gloriously broke in the waiting room for my last Obs appointment, and upon examination I was 7cm, no bloody warning at all for that bugger.

Had midwife appointment today, I'm 1-2cm dilated and she also did a stretch and sweep.
Fingers crossed things will get moving.
Thanks for the responses, it was scary posting that photo Blush

How are things today? It does sound like things are gearing up... I was induced with my first too, then went into spontaneous labour at 38 weeks with second one.

namechangeasembarressed · 12/07/2017 14:06

After the sweep I had no movements and my show well and truly arrived! I had to go and get monitored and baby's baseline heart beat was at 168, it's calmed down now but if feel like he stops moving again I will be induced straight away.
Having mild stomach aches on and off so I don't think it will be long now but you never know with these baby's!
This is what a proper show looks like, I'm putting this up as I would have found it helpful to know so hopefully it helps someone else feel at ease

It's amazing how much of this stuff is up there innit? Grin The gift that keeps giving..
Please keep us updated if you feel able Smile

Ooh, I had my baby 24 hours after my bloody show so fingers crossed they'll be here soon!
