EDD this friday
Homebirth planned

Been getting mighty Braxton Hicks for weeks as per with ds and dd.

Today been quiet BH wise until 6pm when bam 15 mins apart, quite strong powerful pressure ones began.
These have continued through dinner/bath/laying/sitting/gym ball etc
now am 8 mins aprt, still managing ok but harder to get through.
Am almost too scared to bloody hope this might be it....
DD and DS were fast labours. With both I woke up as contractions got 5 minutes apart
I've never been awake for first stage as yet...

odds anyone?

Does the wise woman's advice apply only to labour? Loose mouth, loose fanjo?

or anytime anyone needs acccess to your cervix, or fanjo...relaaaaxation is the key !

I'm a leave me alone type of chick hence the hands off homebirth option, I'll try and avoid a sweep I was just a little desperate this morning
I'm averaging 6-9 BH's an hour all day today, about every 3rd one is a get up walk around and take notice one. Also getting increased show type stuff with the feistier ones.
Back is bloody sore though, think all the contracting has taken it's toll on it. Baby def not posterior

Midwife says fully engaged, she also said she could not see me being much longer.
I'll spit on her if I make my monday appt...

Have you a nice long hill nearby you can walk up? That did the trick for me. I went to Tescos at the top of the hill, had a massive contraction at the cheese counter, and was holding my new baby four hours later.

I had a similar stop start lead up with that one too. They can be a bit demoralising because you get all geared up.
