more than two years since I last did it - give birth that is - (and not pregnant) and I'm still fascinated, feel as passionately about it, and visit this part of mumsnet talk. I was wondering who was the least recent birther (? does that make sense) to come visit

12 weeks and 1 day!!

arabella2 · 11/07/2004 01:05

15 weeks and almost 3 days ago (no. 2). I too think this should probably be the last for various reasons (one being pain of giving birth!) but on the other hand I too think that that is the most intense thing which has ever happened to me - especially no. 2 which was quick, painful but great as it went exactly as I had imagined it...

nutcracker · 11/07/2004 01:14

I had Ds 19 mths ago tommorow.

OldieMum · 11/07/2004 01:22

I had dd 18 months ago tomorrow.

Heathcliffscathy · 11/07/2004 01:33

8 months and six days...was amazing, and despite myself am broody...but thinking better to wait!

spacemonkey · 11/07/2004 01:34

nearly 11 years and i'm broody too

eddm · 11/07/2004 01:38

353 days ago (as it's a leap year)... and I'd love to do it all over again. Dh not quite so keen . Still the most amazing experience of my life; someone (in the MN book on babies?) said they felt like they'd joined this secret club of people who had done this amazing thing and survived. My feelings exactly.

boudicca · 11/07/2004 01:40

15 years ago last Saturday!

Heathcliffscathy · 11/07/2004 01:40

sm and eddm

boudicca · 11/07/2004 01:41

jampot · 11/07/2004 02:03

boudicca · 11/07/2004 02:10

ouch!

rosies · 12/07/2004 11:52

nearly 15 years ago... my baby is a big strapping 6 footer now! hard to imagine him as that cuddly little baby!

hatter · 12/07/2004 16:37

I think you win then Rosies. In general though, you've all confirmed my suspicion that there's something about childbirth that keeps you hooked for life. Can't envisage ever loosing interest

12 months and 2 weeks and would happily do it all over again (just not sure about the time afterwards though!!!). I still remember it perfectly and didn't have much problem with it, just hated the 2 weeks in hospital and the permanent stress afterwards!!!

pepsi · 12/07/2004 16:43

2 years 3 months, would love to do it again but hubby says 2 is enough, we have a boy and girl so are very lucky. I feel quite sad about the thought of not being able to feel a baby inside me ever again or have a scan to look forward to and the midwife saying "Its a xxxx".

wobblyknicks · 12/07/2004 16:43

I think I'd probably win the longest time before announcing the birth though!!! Had to stay in hospital 2 weeks and no way was I unleashing UH or anyone else on here with my name!!!

wobblyknicks · 12/07/2004 16:44

pepsi - you're making me feel broody now and I don't actually want another one!!! Could almost be a surrogate but couldn't stand to hand 'my' baby over.

sam27 · 12/07/2004 17:00

7 months and 14 days.... I think, but numbers were never a strong point!

Glad to see so many saying "never again" I thought I was alone in that.

I really did miss that magical moment.....my thoughts were more what is that humungous lump....surely that didn't come out of me!

What I want to know is if strange things happen to you to make you suddenly think it will be fine to do it again! Especially if you swore you wouldn't.

Thomcat · 12/07/2004 17:10

2 years and 7 months ago.

woodpops · 12/07/2004 19:40

Like you Hatter I'm fasinated with birth. I last gave birth 18 months ago and have no intentions of doing it again. I'm addicted to the discovery health channel on Sky. It's fantastic. I had 2 super quick births so didn't really get a chance to take in what was going on. Was so glad when I had dd. One of my 1st thoughts was I'll be able to be presant at a real birth in years to come. Does that make sense??

lonelymumof3 · 12/07/2004 19:45

my third was born 21 weeks, 3 hours and 9 minutes ago...the dream homebirth....would love another one!!

emmatmg · 12/07/2004 19:46

9 months and 13 days.

My head says "that's it, no more"
But my heart will always want another
