I'm 29 weeks and I just described to a friend (who has three children) that my baby has been active, literally all day today. No let up at all. Really hurting me with the movements and I have a dragging sensation at the top of my uterus which I described as "feeling a bit like the baby was pulling on the cord, though I realise it's highly unlikely to actually be that." Also getting really strong Braxton Hicks (I think) - bump harding on an off.
She's usually a really chilled out person and has just told me in no uncertain terms that I need to go home and rest and stay near a phone, that a baby moving much more than normal coupled with strong practice contractions/ braxton-hicks often precedes labour.
Is that right? Anyone? Should I be cancelling this evening's meetings and going home to put my feet up??
I feel fine - apart from feeling a bit "icky" with all the movement and unable to eat - which is somewhat odd for me.
