Stupid question- what does a contraction feel like?

Was induced with epidural for DD so never really had contractions to start labour to compare it to. Baby feels like he's about to fall out and I've had "tightenings"just below my pubic line if that makes sense? I'm 38w. God I feel stupid asking!!

He's here born 2.26am. All very quick and intense only time for G&A. He's in SBU as meconium in waters and a bit shocked.
Will update more later.

Good luck!! Definitely like super yucky period pains for me. Felt mine all in my back and literally nothing in my front, weirded the midwives out. Tee hee! You'll do great, and if you're feeling like you can't do it, remember that I farted in my midwifes face. Mortifying, but might make you smile!!!:)
