Kings College or Croydon University Hospital for birth of first child?

Hi guys, over the moon Smile to be having our first baby.

I have been doing a bit of research into both these maternity services, and generally Kings College gets a better rap. Does anyone have some recent first hand experience of maternity departments? I have to register to get my 12-14wk scan, and I'm on 10 weeks today, so feel a bit rushed.

I gave birth to both my ds's at kings and was happy with the care.

We live south of CUH and had our scans etc there. All fine and no concerns at all.

However, the journey to the hospital from where we live and parking were horrendous (over an hour to travel by car for 5 miles each time we visited), so based on that, and some mixed reviews we'd heard from parents at DC1's nursery who'd had their DC there, we changed to East Surrey.
