Private Birth at the Queen Charlotte Hospital, London

Am thinking of having my baby at the private unit of the Queen Charlotte Hospital in London.

  1. Does anyone have any experience of the QC private unit, good or bad?
  1. To keep the cost down, I was wondering whether anyone else has done the antenatal stuff on the NHS and the actual birth privately?

Any thoughts much appreciated...

whatever you want to do get booked in quickly. QC was totally full when i was booked in (10 weeks pg), Kingston was full when i was just 5 weeks!

Thanks, Amidaiwish. Do you know which consultants at QC have a good reputation?

Does anybody know what would the private birth cost in the QC?

have you looked/searched mumsnet for previous threads on QCH? There's quite a lot on QCH, including I'm sure recommendations of consultants

have not had a baby there but have been an gynaecology/oncology patient there and it's a v.nice hospital
