I can't tell if it's a bruised urethra or my clit!!!

I gave birth naturally 4 weeks ago (no drugs and no tears I am pleased to say) BUT sinc then, I have been feeling bruised and achey around my wee hole / clit area! I can't quite tell which is the offending structure. Has anyone else had this and does it get better by itself??!?!? I do remember feeling pain there while DD was crowning.....! I had a catheter put in afterwards, which had to be done twice as the first one wasn't quite right. HELP. I don't really fancy a GP rummaging around as I don't have a lot of confidence that it will actually help!

I suspect it is bruising from the catheter...but I am no expert. I think I had similar discomfort after labour (after catheter and forceps).

I was ahem..how can I put this...enlarged in that 'area'. I gave birth 5 wks ago, the swelling went down itself.

Thank you for your help!! Gracious - I had no idea about those glands. It sounds like they are in a slightly different place, thankfully!!

I am desperately hoping that it will resolve by itself, so I'm clinging on to your words!
