Anyone got experience of Halifax, Bradford, or Burnley hospitals?

My nearest maternity wards seem to be Bradford or Halifax (Calderdale Royal Hospital). Burnleys not that far either. Im high risk so it's the hospital wards I'm interested in rather than the birth centres. Does anyone have any experience of these? Particularly interested in safety and picking up on any issues and reacting to them. Also interested in vbac stories. Thanks!

I used to work at CRH, lovely place. BRI not as keen on and friends I know who have used Airedale weren't overly amazed

Had ds in Airedale. Absolutely horrendous experience from the off but they were busy and extremely understaffed. That was on the ward (didn't get a choice in the matter). There was no support after the birth either. I struggled to breast feed and after squeezing my nipples so hard over and over and then trying to use a breast pump to get colostrum out (seriously), they agreed that as I had no colostrum I would have to bottle feed. Had said bottle thrust at me by a moody nurse who didnt want me to bottle feed and was just left to it. I was 21, first time mum and clueless!
I have a friend who is a senior midwife at calderdale. She speaks very highly of it but they are known to be short staffed. I suspect you may find this wherever you go.
