I did, but then it when on for hours. DS not born until the evening of the following day.

JBW · 16/12/2006 13:17

I started labour at 4.45pm in the Chinese Restaurant as we sat trying to eat our dinner. Labour then went on until 2.10pm the following day. Had baby at home - brilliant.

cece · 16/12/2006 13:21

started about 5pm. born later same night at 2.19 am

Mercy · 16/12/2006 13:29

With ds, the waters broke at about 7.30 am (he didn't arrive until later that night though)

Baretoes · 16/12/2006 14:00

This is cool - I had it in my head that labour usually started at night and so I have been feeling as if I've missed the boat when I have had an uneventful night!

one in the night (2 am, born at 7.30 next day) but that was induction; next two started at about 8 in the evening, one took a few days (but was quite pain free) and the other was born in the early hours, not too disruptive that way

Scootergirl · 16/12/2006 14:03

Mine started at 8am and DS was born at 4pm. It was great because I'd had a fairly good night's sleep before it all kicked off! Are you overdue?

ImaVeryMerryChristmasFairy · 16/12/2006 14:05

DS1 labour started at night. DS2 labout started about 8.30 in the morning.

Miaou · 16/12/2006 14:06

I've had two labours start at 10pm and one at 11am. Unfortunately the 11am one followed a bout of d and v which had kept me up all night so I was in a worse state than the night ones

louloubelle · 16/12/2006 14:14

Both started bang on midnight. 1st arrived 34 1/2 hours later, 2nd arrived 10 1/2 hours later, bizarrely both born at 10-34 in the morning...

lulumama · 16/12/2006 18:12

7.30 am for DD ..woke me up, i was out of bed and on the floor in the blink of an eye!

was induced in the morning with DS...

lulumama · 16/12/2006 18:13

she was born at 01.15 the following morning though !

motherinfurrierfestivefrock · 16/12/2006 18:15

I can't remember when DD1's labour started as it was a kind of buildup, but it was definitely evening, not night (but you don't want to know that I didn't give birth till the day after the next one, do you...)

DD2 was a day baby. Waters broke with a pop at 2pmish before anything else happened, and she was out at around 8.30pm.

jingleboobs · 16/12/2006 18:17

twickersmum · 16/12/2006 18:24

Started at 7pm and had dd at 5.30 the next morning.

Tinker · 16/12/2006 19:04

One started at 6.20 pm - born at 11.05pm same day. 2nd at 7.30 am born at 10:13 am same day!

I may have been in labour earlier but they were the times when I realised I was in labour.

MardyBum · 16/12/2006 20:57

With my dd my waters broke in the night, but labour did not start till lunchtime. She was born at 10pm that night.

MerryPiffmas · 16/12/2006 21:01

Me!
Both times
ds was 1pm born at 3.30pm
DD was 5.45am born at 6.30am

mamijacacalys · 16/12/2006 21:08

Was induced both times (pessary only, no other interventions):
DS labour started 12pm, born 8.40pm
DD labour started 9.30am, born 1.30pm

bosscat · 16/12/2006 21:11

second labour started at 6.30am. I'd had him by 12! nice quick birth, 3 weeks early. dh was just about to go away with work for the week and said "errrr do you think I should risk going it took so long last time?" wtf?

southeastastra · 16/12/2006 21:14

i was very lucy with ds1(13) it started about 3 and i went to hosp at 7.30 and had him at 11.30. he is still quite affable!

xmasstocking · 16/12/2006 21:15

Realised I was in labour at about 4pm (though I think I had been having twinges since I had got up that morning) - DS born by c-section at 5pm the following day so a good 24 hour labour - lovely!!

sunandmoon · 16/12/2006 21:28

My labour started at 06.00pm and DD was born 48hours and 22 mns later... So not much sleep!!!
