When the baby was born, did you feel his genitals on your chest? Because I'm having a surprise gender and that'll kinda ruin the surprise .

Hmmm struggling to see the logic here.

If you do skin to skin you will see them, you can't just look away!
If you want them to wrap him in a towel and then place him on you you can ask them to do so

In the politest way possible, all I can tell you is to please focus on the health of you child as soon as he comes out and not whether you can feel his testicals or not!

The op has another thread that explains this rather bizarre question. Shes having a home birth and wants to find out the sex when her other 2 dcs are present. Not that the other 2 dcs give a shit.

Oops

I'm all for involving older siblings with the new arrival. But this?...
There are worse... My hypnotherapist had shown me a video of a woman giving birth and her oldest son touching new baby's head while coming out....Confused

AnotherTimeMaybe · 01/09/2015 20:33

beautiful are they going to be present at the birth? Mind you that's sweet but bloody hell good luck to them! To all of them!

BeautifulBatman · 01/09/2015 20:35

another no, I don't think so. That's why she doesn't want to see when the baby is born, she wants to wait until the other dc can be there. Fucking weird imo.

ImperialBlether · 01/09/2015 20:45

bulletpoint, the only reply the midwife could make is "She does, doesn't she?"

bulletpoint · 01/09/2015 20:54

ha!ha!Grin

I didn't feel anything because I wasn't given the chance to hold him straight away. :(
But you can tell them to hush up when you have the baby. Wrap a towel round or something. You could maybe reach down and do it yourself, pick baby up and see for yourself. That's what I wanted to do.

LucyBabs · 01/09/2015 23:02

FGS op Come back pleaseeeeee!

When my ds was born they held him up in front of me and his penis was HUGE...There was no denying what sex our baby was Grin

Floggingmolly · 01/09/2015 23:06

How could the "surprise" be ruined when the baby is actually in the room with you?? Amateur dramatics aren't in it, op...
