Just for anyone who is interested, I got this info through the NCT, recommending anyone who teaches or is interested in the facts, record it.
No more details sorry!
I hope it is done in the UK not the USA though.

twogorgeousboys · 10/05/2004 21:16

No - nitty gritty hasnt started yet!

mummysurfer · 10/05/2004 21:38

cor they're dragging this out.

fairydust · 10/05/2004 22:06

well i thought it was pretty boring - although i did reconise the midwife who weighed the baby as i had dd at the QMC

futurity · 10/05/2004 22:07

Didnt see all of it..just the end gory bit! Having had a c-section myself I found it really interesting despite being squemish! Fascinated to see the baby come out quiet and then scream later on..I expect that is the same with all c-sections but at the time I was wondering why DS hadn't screamed (has made up for it in the 2+ years since then!).

Dont think I would of wanted woman shoving microphone in face afterwards though!!

monkeygirl · 10/05/2004 22:10

Well it's made me more terrified of having a cs now (and I'm nearly 36 wks pregnant) - makes me wonder how long they would take to cut through all my tummy fat!

Egypt · 10/05/2004 22:13

i'm amazed at the thickness of layers before uterus. i thought it was practically just under skin. shows how much i know. hope dont have to have c/s - due in 6 days

Egypt · 10/05/2004 22:14

how did that make you feel twiglett?

twogorgeousboys · 10/05/2004 22:21

I wish I could have had a bit of liposuction while they were at it with my c sections. My belly is indescribably horrible.

monkeygirl · 10/05/2004 22:24

I might go for it then if they did the lipo and cut away the excess skin.

Is it a myth or do some celebs really get a tummy tuck at the same time?

eddm · 10/05/2004 22:26

I've got so soppy since pregnancy I cried when the baby was born!

twogorgeousboys · 10/05/2004 22:30

monkeygirl

I have pondered this for ages - how the HELL do the celebs have seemingly washboard flat stomachs after c sections? Seriously though, does anyone know if the plastic surgeons move in after the baby has been delivered?

suedonim · 10/05/2004 22:30

Yeughh! What was all that yellowy stuff in her stomach, before they reached the uterus? I hope my insides aren't like that! I felt sorry for the baby - he looked as though he'd been having a lovely nap and didn't much appreciate being rudely awakened! They were a bit brutal with him after, I thought, slinging him round like a lump of meat.

twogorgeousboys · 10/05/2004 22:32

seudonim

that was the stuff I'd liked liposuctioned out!

suedonim · 10/05/2004 23:11

2GB, nooooooooo!! Please tell me my innards are pretty in pink and lilac etc, not full of yellow stuff!!

nightowl · 11/05/2004 01:23

oh crap crap crap...i REALLY wanted to watch this and i missed it...did anyone tape it? i would love to see what theyve done to me twice! (please please please someone have a tape)

jampot · 11/05/2004 06:55

I missed this but when I accidently glanced in the mirrors over the operating table I saw "pink" before looking away quickly and vomiting. I assumed it was my insides. So what colour are our insides?

mummysurfer · 11/05/2004 08:19

nightowl, i taped it, want to watch it again as i've had 2 too.
i thought they were a bit rough with baby.
was the yellow bit fat??? during my 2nd section she cut out all my scar tissue from the 1st section. so i've only one scar and sort of had atummy tuck.

Tex111 · 11/05/2004 08:23

I was really interested to see this because I had an emergency section with DS and will probably have an elective with this pregnancy. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but they didn't show the stitching up bit. I read on another thread that they actually lift the uterus out of the body for the stitching. Anyone know if that's really true???

The yellow stuff was fat. DH said he saw my tummy fat during my section and describe it as a 'little line of chicken fat'. Bless him for calling it little!

Glad to hear about the mini tummy tuck and scar removal with a second section. I wondered if I was going to have two scars ot how it would work.
