anyone had a show and diarhoea and not gone into labour

hi there, this is my third baby so i know what kind of pains im waiting for,but i just seem to be getting ready then stopping,not a bad thing because im only 34 weeks,but i had a show at 30 wks and several more since ,im getting braxton hicks regularly,friday i had the runs with cramps followed by 6 hours of contractions that came every five mins,but didnt get stronger,then they stopped and now ive gone back to diarrhoea and cramps again ,has anyone else experienced this?oh by the way i moved house 3 weeks ago and havehad lots of stress enough to get going early!!!!

I had a show on Friday night followed by dirroeah (sp) all day Sat and Sun. Had backache and bh, but still no baby. Am beginning to think I was convincing myself I was in labour, although feel no better today.

Erinsmom, I don't think I am going to make you feel any better, but didn't want you to think you were alone.

I had my first show at 33 weeks, and started contracting that same day, obviously I started worrying about premature labour and everything else, but I am still here, nearly 38 weeks and still loosing bits of my show all over the place and still contracting!

I had to see the consultant about the contractions and she put it down to an irritable uterus, basically the babies movements, or certain things that I do can literally cause the uterus to contract, it doesn't mean the start of labour or (in many cases) even do anything to prepare for labour, it is just one of those things that can happen!

If I can give you any advice it is to try to relax about it. We got the point of timing contractions and putting off dinner or DH going to work 'in case this was it', and obviously nothing has happened so far. Honestly for your own peace of mind, just try to go with the flow as it were, I am usually around here somewhere if you want somewhere to blow off steam, I know how frustrating it is to be having painful regular contractions with nothing to show for it!

cheers for that girls,it can get a bit frustrating ,irritable mummy never mind uterus.
i know baby will come when its ready,but you can't help thinking is this it,or are the pains getting stronger,its just one of those things.
when are you due trixievix,perhaps we could be frustrated together.im supposed to be due boxing day but im sure they have the dates wrong,my other two came three weeks early,so perhaps ive not got too long to niggle

If it is any help it does get a bit easier to deal with as it goes on, I find I have a few days where I take it all in my stride and just get on with things, then I have a day or so of being grumpy and moany and pissed off with it all really.

I have had a few other none serious complcations, like last week I started to swell up really badly, so the midwife came out to do my BP, everything was fine but she made a comment about her being on call that night, so she would see me later, (I am booked for a home birth), so she was obviously thinking I was about to go into labour, when I didn't that really knocked me for 6, it has taken me all week to put my mind back into the 'he will come when he is ready' phase!

It is really hard to live with, but it has to be worth it in the end - doesn't it?!!!

I'm due a week on Sunday, although have got PCOS, so don't know my dates - only found out at 18 weeks. Am gradually feeling worse, but still NO BABY. Am getting really frustrated and worn out with it all now, and just want the baby out - wonder if there's a way of going in and getting him myself rather than wait for his time schedule?! If he's anything like his father, he'll be late no doubt!!

It is a PITA at this stage isn't it? I've no advice really, just to say I know what you are going through really doesn't help much.

Still nothing here, I really thought it was happening last night, but it all stopped again, I had a midwife appointment and I begged and pleaded with her to give me a sweep but she wouldn't (there is a whole thread on it somewhere, so I won't go into details here as well!)

It can't go on for much longer now, at least I bloody well hope not!!
