Hello!
Has anyone used an independent midwife to assist with a hospital birth in Queen Charlotte or St Mary? I do not want a home birth (not for the first time anyway!), but like the idea of having a single midwife follow me through the pregnancy and delivery. Looking at what options are available...
Thanks!!

hi - i might be wrong..but i don;t think an independent midwife can deliver you in an NHS hospital....

a private hosptial with a midwifery led unit will give you more continuity of care...

not 100 % sure..but didn't want to leave you unanswered....have you googled for independent midwives in your area...they will probably be able to tell you where they can and can't work...

Do the Caroline Flint midwives have a birth centre somewhere in the centre of London? Not sure where it is.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look up a few independent midwives, including the birth centre and see what they say.
