Such a carming topic, i am 40 + 5 and its green and loads of it, has been like this for past few weeks. am i being niave to ask where does it come from? and what is normal and what isn't and should be checked out?

I also had an internal done monday and midwife wrote in my notes a mucus like show, but i have been getting this for weeks now.. is it normal.

Yes, very usual IME.

I would imagine that if there was something unusual or slightly sinister the mw would have noted that.

Could this be an infection? Discharge should only be either clear or white/beige in colour with texture ranging from eggwhite to a chalky type! ( Lovely!)
May be worth having a swab to rule out infection.

thats what i though, if midwife didn't say anything or think anything is out of ordinary then why would i???

But you do think its unusual because you've asked for advice on here.
I would see GP and see what they would recommend.Definately do this if you have any pain, feeling unwell or if it is very smelly!

Can I ask - is it slimey or is it fibourous and stretchy (like a bogey)??

I had some of the latter last week (am 32 wks) and was told it was some of my plug which is also referred to as the show. But that my body will continue to replenish the plug until it has no need of it.

All other discharge has been milky white and slimey.

Dont we talk about some lovely stuff!
