Does sex actually work?

Hello again, just wanted to know people's opinions on if sex actually works to induce labour? Has it worked for anyone cause i'm sick of bouncing on a big ball and eating curries now!! Thinking about trying some nookie tonight no matter how uncomfortable - it's all in aid to meet my little womb monster :)

I'm 39 weeks and getting impatient. Also getting horny !! After NO sex for few months weve had sex the last 3 nights (Needless to say my husband's very pleased). I'm keen to know if this will bring on a timely birth, and also a bit shocked i'm even contemplating it..

I made DH have sex with me when I was 7 days overdue with DD. Sure enough, the contractions started when we were mid-shag, at which point I told him he could stop. So romantic
