Cord Blood Collection vs Cessation of Pulsation

I'd like to try cord blood collection but wait for the cord to stop pulsating first. Has anyone else tried this? Have you been able to still get a reasonable sample fron either the cord or placenta?

I've collected blood after the cord has stopped pulsating and got very good samples. I take it this is for stem cells? Is your m/w prepared to do it, or do you mean you/partner will be doing it yourselves?
