Overdue with baby one, when did baby two arrive?

I'm hanging in there now at 39 weeks. My first was 11 days late, wondering if my second is likely to be similar. What was your experience?

DD - 7 days late
DS - 14 days late

Hope its not the case for you! DS was 10lbs, looked like a 2 week old baby not a newborn. It was also a weird fortnight - every morning, yup, still pregnant, no sign of change... My DM had come to stay to help with DD, and didn't dare go home, ended up staying way longer than she had ever expected!

Good luck in whatever happens in the next 3 weeks.

Yes, think it may be a big baby if I go well overdue again. At least every day makes the overall date range go down one! So frustrating at 37 weeks that you could have baby tomorrow or in 5 weeks time! At least now I know she will be here in November. Looks like there is no real pattern, some peoples babies are always a bit late and some are just totally random!

My first was 41 weeks, my second was 37 weeks and was still a whopper

You never can tell.

VioletVelvet · 07/11/2014 12:47

DC1 40+12
DC2 40+1

littlejohnnydory · 07/11/2014 20:50

Dc1 born on due date
Dc2 42 + 2 (sorry!)
Dc3 40 + 3
DC 4 expected next week!

CountryMummy1 · 07/11/2014 21:44

First baby - 10 days overdue
Second baby - 14 days overdue and induced

BiggerYellowTaxi · 07/11/2014 21:48

My first was 11 days over, second was a week over. I had lots of bouts of contractions and a bloody show on my due date (Christmas Eve!) with the second so it was a looongggg week. Good luck Smile

Ds1 was 2 weeks late, an induction that ended in emergency c section.
Ds2 was 4 days early, but that was a planned c section.

DC1 10 days overdue
DC2 went into labour in due date, born in early hours of the following morning

dinkystinky · 08/11/2014 06:28

Ds1 induced at 42 weeks
Ds2 arrived at 38 weeks in a hurry
Ds3 3 days over his due date

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 08/11/2014 06:31

First was 4 days late (11pm)
second was 5 days late (3am)
So 4 hours difference really

imme · 08/11/2014 13:45

10 days late with DC1
16 days early with DC2. Completely unexpected and was very unprepared..

mamaduckbone · 08/11/2014 13:57

Both of mine were 11 days late. I didn't expect it with ds2 as I was so huge. I was booked in for induction for both but managed just in time!

Momzilla82 · 08/11/2014 14:00

Ds1 t+14 spontaneous labour
Ds2 t+15 induction on day 14. Was sure he'd be early/ on time.

IAmAPaleontologist · 08/11/2014 14:04

weebairn · 08/11/2014 16:03

Dc1- 5 days late. 30 hour labour. 6 lb 14 oz.

Dc2 - due date. 4 hour labour! 8 lb 9 oz!!!!

JackieOLantern · 10/11/2014 01:26

DC1 was 10 days late, 30 hour labour, instrumental delivery, not a good experience.
DC1 was 9 days early, 8 hour labour, out in 3 pushes!

Make of that what you will Grin

JackieOLantern · 10/11/2014 01:27

DS1 was forcefully evicted at 16 days "overdue"

DS2 fell out, 4 days after my due date.

bumpitybumpbump · 11/11/2014 16:13

I have only had the one (second on way) but I had an appointment with my obstetrician today and asked him if there was any correlation - apparently those that are late with baby number one are more likely to be early with number two and vice versa...... not what I was expecting!
