Friend of mine has heard horror stories about the local hospital and would like to have an IM and homebirth, she lives in central Brum

I do live in Brum but have had 3 sections so can't help i'm afraid.

Do you mind if i ask which hospital she isnot keem on ??

Well i have to say i can understand her desicion then.
I have never had any of my kids at City, but TBH I wouldn't want to go there to have my ears syringed, never mind give birth.

Does she have to go to City ????
I had to have Ds at the Womans Hospital because of complications and they were really good.

Am not sure where you would find info on IM TBH. Hoipe someone else can help more.

sorry - have to completely disagree - had the choice of city and the women's hospital - chose city 'cos it is closer...they were brill. I was monitored closely (ds v. small...), and the labour was great (well as far as these things ever can be...)
