Hi, this is my second preg and am due in September.
For my first birth I bought maternity pads from Mothercare but I remember thinking they weren't great. After the first week my lochia was reduced enough that I used Tesco Mum range at 99p a pack of ten but these won't be suitable for the first week. I was lucky last time that the hospital gave me 2 packs of really awesome ones that I do not remember the name of >.<

So to sum up.... What maternity pads did you find where the best for the initial heavy flow after giving birth?

Thanks in advance

Last time I used an always ultra towel underneath to protect my knickers, then two thick pads (boots?) over lapping on top in the very beginning, then just the one after a few days.

I had a c section and when I got out of bed for the first time everything just flooded out, from where it had been pooling inside while I was lying down, and there was claret everywhere! Scared me a lot. Thought I was having a PPH, and called the midwife who said it was normal, and I should have been told to expect it. Confused

Could someone post a link for the Tena Pants they used? They do a range of them and I don't want to get the wrong ones.
