I'm booked in in 2 weeks and first time round I was seen at 7pm on a Sunday and home Tuesday eve.

Going in on a Thursday morning this time. I'd really love to be home by Friday morning.

Just wondered what everyone's experiences were

My shortest stay was Ds2, born on a Thursday morning and I went home on the Saturday. I had significant blood loss after a placental abruption, so in retrospect I wish I'd stayed in a bit longer, as I felt dreadful for months. I did have good reasons to want to be home on the third day though. If you feel well enough, then you might as well recover in your own home as in hospital.

26 hrs and I had lost a lite of blood and had low iron levels so not straight forward. Only went home cos no one was bringing me pain relief!

24 hours after my 3rd CS. Semi emcs but I was fine. Determined to go home. The midwives were surprised but not at all negative about me going.
I had more help at home from DH and my DC's than I did on the ward, there was scant attention from the midwives tbh. I really could have been bleeding to death behind the curtain and they wouldn't have noticed.

had section at 11 pm and the tried to discharge me at lunchtime the next day. I refused and stayed the night... no way was I leaving less than 24hours after no matter how busy they wereAngry

I had my ELCS at 1pm on a Friday and went home Sunday evening.

Emcs Wednesday at 9pm. Home on Friday afternoon.

They offered to keep me longer as ds was in nicu. I stupidly didn't want to put them out / overstay but I so wish I had.

Going home was awful and I wanted to go back and beg to stay again!

Mine was an emergency. Had dd at 11pm on the Wednesday and left the Tuesday. Nothing wrong with either of us. Just waiting for test results. So so frustrating
