Any advice anyone? everyone keeps saying "active birth" to me but I don't really know what they mean - does anyone actually have babies lying down anymore? What sort of positions should I try? Whats worked for you? Am trying to drum some ideas into my head because am sure they will all go flying out the minute it starts!! Would love the benefit of your experience...thx

I was lying on a bed! Slightly on my side - it just came naturally to me. Would echo what every one else says about your body finding the right position for you when the time comes (if you're not strapped to a monitor with your legs in stirrups like I was with DS1 )

i walked around as much as i could but this was limited as i was attatched to a monitor and i got bored just walking around in circles. so then i rocked on a birthing ball and eventually gave birth on all fours on the bed. lying down felt far to uncomfortable my body kept telling me i must go on my knees. its really weird like theres a little voice making you do it..
