First baby late, second baby late, third baby ??????

Hi, I'm 27 weeks pg with ds3 or ds1!.

Both ds's were late - ds1 by 11 days and ds2 by 9 days.

I'm having an elective (ha!) caesarean (sp?) which I hope to book in for 39 weeks, but it has just recently occured to me that it's not a done deal that this one would have been 'naturally' late, like it's big brothers.

Beginning to wonder what the chances are that this one would be early - I know it could come early, late or even on the due date, but wondered at experiences on MN. Incidentally, I've had 2 very uneventful pregnancies, as is this one so far...

dd1 - 5 days early - 7 hrs labour

ds1 - 10 days over - 1 hr labour

ds2 - 3 weeks early - 4 hrs labour

From my experience pretty unpredictable on all fronts.

DS1 - 18 days early - 3 hrs labour.

My first kid and I was told all along that most first babies go to 41+ weeks so actually I wasn't expecting him for another 25 days. We only just got past the 37th week!

Mind you my midwife did point out that I had drunk loads of raspberry leaf tea and taken things to the skip all afternoon!

My dd was born at 42 weeks after being induced and my ds1 was also nearly 42 weeks when i was induced. Now 37 weeks with ds2 and not expecting this one to come out of its own accord!Still hopeful and every twinge makes me excited but i'm sure i'll be induced again! Just a bit nervous cause ds1 was a whopping 10lbs 13oz at 42 weeks - surely they'll bring me in a bit earlier this time!!

DD1 arrived 2 days early, only have the 1 so nothing to compare but apparently we are the only country that is so hung up about the 40wk thing, europe is slightly more relaxed.

Well, both dd 1 & 2 were induced after 10 days overdue but dd3 came on her due date - bloody good job as well as she was 9Lbs 11oz"!!"

DS1 29+6 2lb 11oz very emergency caesarean with general anaesthetic.
DS2 40+6 9lb 15 1/2oz planned caesarean due to hospital not wanting to induce.
