Mine arrived 4 months to the day after. Am EBF so hoped I'd get longer. Just wondering what other people's experiences were.

9 months and counting. Ebf.

Theonlyoneiknow · 01/01/2014 20:56

Stopped BF with DC1 at 8 months, periods returned at 10 months.

Stopped BF with DC2 at 14 months but from 10 months was only doing the AM and PM feed and periods returned at about 12 months

ethlinn · 01/01/2014 20:56

16 weeks, DS was mix fed from 12 weeks, ebf before.

SolomanDaisy · 01/01/2014 20:58

15 months. I read somewhere that that is the average for people bf on demand, so you've been unlucky!

LemonBreeland · 01/01/2014 20:58

With both DSes who were formula fed 6 months. DD ws ebf and was 11 months.

Rosieliveson · 01/01/2014 21:06

Thanks all for the reply. I didn't realise it varied quite so much!

12 weeks exactly 1st time
almost 4 month second time.
both time EBF
It is actually good to get your period because once it begins you increase your oestrogen levels and that helps bring your body back to normal.

littleraysofsunshine · 02/01/2014 19:13

About three months with dd1 but dr put me on the pill which I wasn't really happy with. Plus I breastfed.

Dd2 7months -breastfeeding

natwebb79 · 02/01/2014 19:41

18 months. Breast fed for 15 months but took ages to come back. 7 months later I'm pregnant again so I've worked out that if it happens again I'll only have had 7 periods in 4 years. Grin

RemindMeWhatSleepIs · 02/01/2014 19:45

7 months exactly both times. Both were EBF.

Not come back yet - just over 4 months, EBF too.

EugenesAxe · 02/01/2014 20:12

Quite soon... I only managed BF for about 10 days. I remember it was right at the end of my lochia and thinking WTF - why have I started up again? Then had to see doc and mentioned it - actually that would have been 6 week check. So about 6-7 weeks.

TheNightIsDark · 02/01/2014 20:14

6 weeks. Ff. It lasted 9 days Angry
Then came back last month and nothing December. It takes a while to get regular again though doesn't it? Can't remember from other 2 DCs

please say it does, please please please

ButDadSaidICould · 02/01/2014 20:16

It didn't. Contraception failure at 3.5 months, EBF, no sign of AF, but clearly a rogue egg rattling around in there as DC5 due almost exactly a year after DC4. Smile

Fwiw, it was at least 9-12 months after the others.

Dollydowser · 02/01/2014 20:18

EBF around 10 months with both my dc.

purplemurple1 · 02/01/2014 20:24

7 weeks - mixed feeding

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 02/01/2014 20:28

Mine isn't back yet. DS was 2 last Friday. We are co sleeping and still bf though.

miffybun73 · 02/01/2014 20:30

14 months, just after I stopped BFing.

satintaupe · 02/01/2014 20:30

2yrs 10 months for me with bf. A month or 2 after we night weaned, which may have played a part.

TransatlanticCityGirl · 04/01/2014 23:07

13 months. EBF for 12 months then mixed fed until 15 months.
