how soon did you "go back to normal"?

I had a vb a week and a half ago. It went really really well compared with my other two births, and I only had a first degree tear with a couple of stitches.

But, its been a week and a half and I am still feeling quite uncomfortable. I have period type pains, which I can understand, but my fanny (for want of a better word) is really quite uncomfortable. Its achey and a little bit sore. I have taken paracetemol for the past two days.

how soon after a vb did you feel normal? ie not in any discomfort?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

About 48 hours

I've been at home with a cold-filled two week old, bless him. It feels a lot more normal down there and I'd forgotten how much I like lavender. In fact just got out of a lavender bath!
The only thing now is to not have stabbing pain up my bum when I go for a poo! You really wanted to know that didn't you?!
Now just getting used to juggling three children and trying not to squat too much...

I had three stitches, took about two weeks to be normal.

twotears that stabby poo feeling could be piles inside. I have it sometimes. my doc said it should fix itself but if you get blood or it gets worse then worth mentioning to your gp or at your 6 week mot if you've not had it yet

Two weeks to not feel any pain in every day life, three weeks to feel completely normal, 3 1/2 weeks for celebratory sex :-))!

I found the back pain from trying to contort myself into breastfeeding positions far worse...
