Looking to read as many books as i can about ways to get a different birth such as hypno birthing, homeopathy, calming etc.

I have ordered gentle birthing and am trying to get spiritual midwifery, learning about breathing, yoga poses to help me feel more in control as i do think the more you know the better it can be and when i try to learn something i like to do it properly.

Any ideas on books would be good.

Thanks111

I liked "Active Birth" by Janet Balaskas. Lots of useful information and photographs of active/natural births in progress, although you also have to leaf through some drawings of Joy of Sex-style 1970s bearded men and hippy women.

"Instinctive Birthing" by Val Clarke (I hope!) has given me the confidence to have my first baby naturally at home.
