Were you wearing your glasses when you gave birth?

I was just reading something about this on another thread.

I really can't remember. I'm pretty sure I wasn't with ds2 cos I vaguely remember whipping them off and shoving them at dp. I think I must have been with ds1 cos I can still remember the first time I ever set eyes on him (the first bit of him I ever saw were his testicles!)

And what else were you wearing? A lot of people posted on the other thread that they were in their all togethers. But when did you get the chance to strip off?

I had a planned C Section so was wearing my glasses so as not to miss anything! Felt a bit strange as i never wear my glasses I am definately a contact lense wearer.

A few friends did comment that the didn't know I wore glasses when they visited me in the hospital as My DH had emailed everyone my very attractive post section pictures to everyone he knew so the could see his baby!

logic you have started something here!!! With dd I was wearing the top of my tankini as a water birth,no bottoms worn which amazes me now as I am not the type to walk around nude but suppose that was the last thing on my mind!!
Once out of the pool (birthed on the bed) I was changed into a nightie which ended up just covering my top half! Skin 2 skin contact aftrewards meant it wasn't too mucky and it's now washed and put away for the next one .

I also wear glasses although more out of habit now as I am shortsighted. During the birth they were given to dh. The photos after are shocking as I look better with glasses !!

Had contacts in both times. With dd I was wearing the top I had on when I went in (changed into nightie when it was all over). Ds was born unexpectedly at home so I was wearing my normal day clothes although I think dh ripped my skirt and pants off as instructed by the midwife on the phone!
