I've only got a chance to log on now, having thought about Nickel and her babe all day Smile (especially whenever I caught a glance of that beautiful moon), and sent good vibes, to join with the others sending theirs, and I would also like to thank you Nickel for letting us be with you and your DH on this wonderful journey to meet your ikkle nickelbabe!

HighHeidYin · 11/12/2011 22:15

Hours and hours ago MrsHoolie, which is why we think she may have been admitted to hospital.

MrsChristmasDB · 11/12/2011 22:16

I'm here.

I'm hoping that the lack of posting means that nickel has been fabulous and is snuggling with mrnickel and isbn.

ooooh maryz, do tell Grin

Carol has been teaching us to deep breathe all night. Very therapeutic! I want her to move in with me.

MrsHoolie · 11/12/2011 22:18

Oh I see. Fingers crossed all is well.
I was transferred with my 1st baby, took me two days to get to 4cm. Nickel got to 3cm without being in labour!

IWantSantasNewToyInMyStocking · 11/12/2011 22:19

i think I'm going to have to go to bed but I know Nickel will have her baby the second I go!

HighHeidYin · 11/12/2011 22:21

Yep I was transferred and 2 days with 1st as well. Mind you, all four were horrendously long. Shortest was 11 hours Hmm

Really, really, really hoping she has her baby with her now. A long labour is a nightmare.

saffronwblue · 11/12/2011 22:21

Lucky I am working from home today, wrestling with appalling document. Fingers crossed for news.

Mishushed · 11/12/2011 22:22

This thread had made me soooo broody and desperately want a homebirth next time ( 1st labour 6 hours, 2nd 3 hours - don't think I'd make it to hosp in time for no 3!)

Go nickel! Where's that gorgeous baby EnvyEnvyEnvy

minceorotherwise · 11/12/2011 22:22

Oh do hope she's ok and too busy snuggling to post

HighHeidYin · 11/12/2011 22:22

saffronwblue · 11/12/2011 22:26

sunshineandshowers13 · 11/12/2011 22:28

and if not -
take it easy lovely lady, take it easy.
you're doing amazing and it will all be worth it .

HighHeidYin · 11/12/2011 22:30

That's good. Need to keep this bumped for nickel's friend to post updates Smile

Why are babies never born during the day when everyone is awake and ready for them? Do they deliberately wait until the middle of the night? Is it wired into their DNA?

Are babies in Australia only born in the middle of the night Australia time?

Thumbinnapuddingwitch · 11/12/2011 22:32

Australia checking in - how's it going? I really thought that ISBN would be here by the time I woke up but obviously not!

Glad MNHQ have extended this thread though :)

ElfOnTheShelf · 11/12/2011 22:33

I'm also off to bed but wil check in first thing.

Sending you strength nickel if you are still labouring, you have been uppermost in my thoughts all day and i'm so sorry to have missed the actual birth.

HighHeidYin · 11/12/2011 22:34

Hey thumbwitch Smile (gibberish here)

MNHQ are lovely and accommodating.

saffronwblue · 11/12/2011 22:37

Ok thumbwitch it is you and me now - did you have anything planned for a Monday morning?

Northernlurker · 11/12/2011 22:38

This reminds me of my nephews arrival. Long labour. Finally at 2am text to say emergncy c-section - and then nothing! By 9am we were all frantic. Then bil rang. Turned out they did the c-section, sorted out baby and sil then poor bil (who had been up for two days) fell asleep. He got back to the ward at 8.45am to be told by the midwives to ring family NOW Grin

ItJustIsntEasy · 11/12/2011 22:40

lurking, lurking....god this thread is making me broody...fingers crossed all is progressing as you would want
