What colour is a show?

Just had a massive blob of discharge when I went to the toilet but it was 100% clear - no blood or anything.

Could this be a show???????

Am 40 wks + 1 today

They used to use it a lot in 1970's recipes (not that old but have some old books - honest - rabbit in aspic anyone?)

With my ds i woke up at 4am with slight stomach pains, steped out of bed to go to the toilet & felt something come out in my knickers....... it was a show it was quite clear but did have a tinge of pink to it, i was in labour from that moment onwards as was having the contractions too! Ds was born 8.28pm that night.

Sounds like a show to me, good luck.

are you in labour yet??

I am today 40+1 with number 2 and have been having contractions for 6 days although nothing painful. Had to go to hospital as midwife panicked and they said it would be out in 24 hours! That was 4 days ago!!! I had the show this morning and it was also large and clear with no blood at all. A friend said I had to call the hospital and let them know, or the midwife at least. Do I do this or do I wait for more pain? I am in mild pain now, more than has been in the last few days, but certainly not enough to be called 'labour'! Whats next?

harpsi - no, still no sign of labour. I am still loosing the plug bit by bit though.

Widget - I'd ring either the mw or the labour ward and see what they say.

Hi um just wondering I'm 6days over due and had a sweep yestaday and lost my plug today how long till I go into labour anybody know oh it's my first baby BTW x
