Not sure how long I'll manage to keep posting but always fancied a go at a live labour thread :)

Brief history:

  • DS1 HB (19hrs + 2 hrs for the placenta) at 38+1
  • DS2 EMCS for undiagnosed breech at 39+6
  • this is DC3 (a surprise) and I'm 40+3.

Been going slightly spare since I've never been this pg before so I'm quite happy that things are finally moving.

Mucus plug yesterday & this morning, bit of bloody show this lunchtime.
Ctx now every 10ish mins or so.

Waters not gone, yet so am hovering over a towel in case :)

Not phoned MW yet, guess I should at some point?

Anyone want to keep me company? :)

JKS I had an IM at home and I discharged myself before the poo. It was not a problem in the privacy of my own home. I don't know why they hold you to ransom at the hospital to do something you clearly need to be relaxed for. Why don't they send someone out to check you at home for your poo?

How are you JKS? I'm now suffering from an insanely freaked out stomach. Think I might have OD'd on the fibre drinks and lactulose. Which will be why first poo was ok, just fell out of me. Not sure I'm keen on this approach though. Am totally starving but stomach can't handle it.

Anyway if you want to try this approach then I recommend eating half a box chocs, drinking some water and then one of those fibre drinks. Bingo

Lol Jurassic!

I'm ok, having decided to discharge myself regardless I did manage a teeny poo Grin so am leaving any minute or when the paperwork is finished, taking ages grr.

Was not awful but also not easy so waiting til home to try again.

JKS well done you - 'see' you later when you get back to your laptop - so glad you're going home. I bet relaxing at home, and having your own bath/bed will sort any remaining pooh issues out in no time.

Glad to hear you're going home were you can poo in peace and in comfort Grin
