Not sure how long I'll manage to keep posting but always fancied a go at a live labour thread :)

Brief history:

  • DS1 HB (19hrs + 2 hrs for the placenta) at 38+1
  • DS2 EMCS for undiagnosed breech at 39+6
  • this is DC3 (a surprise) and I'm 40+3.

Been going slightly spare since I've never been this pg before so I'm quite happy that things are finally moving.

Mucus plug yesterday & this morning, bit of bloody show this lunchtime.
Ctx now every 10ish mins or so.

Waters not gone, yet so am hovering over a towel in case :)

Not phoned MW yet, guess I should at some point?

Anyone want to keep me company? :)

Congratulations! Well done you

Petal Grin

JKS you do deserve indeed the highest commendation for your live birth thread and HBAC.

Sorry to hear about the tear, totally impressed whilst waiting for major stitching in hospital you stlll managed to let us all know your news. Take care of yourself, and looking forward to hearing from you on the Postnatal thread.

AngeChica · 21/04/2011 07:08

Fantastic news!!!! Well done JKS (and DH and DS's) and welcome to Mary...

Hope you are sorted and home asap. Brilliant. So pleased you got your HBAC.

OnlyWantsOne · 21/04/2011 07:37

Congratulations!!!! How lovely

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2011 07:59

Thanks everyone :)

After being told I would go to theatre last night? They found out the surgeon on duty was a breast man and they want a colo-rectal chap to oversee things.

So had tea & toast at midnight now waiting for them to decide when they cam fit me in, really hoping to be first on the list & get it over with. Am mostly in denial about the damage/procedure & have insisted on a GA before anyone touches me again! (exam by registrar last night worst experience ever).

Baby M is doing brilliantly, in no danger of losing her chink status! :)

Still vaguely hoping I can get home tonight ...

Hopefully, you will be done first. You can then start on your road to recovery, and get home as soon as is possible.

Fillybuster · 21/04/2011 08:14

Over the moon at the news....big congrats from all of us! Welcome baby Mary....bet the big boys are going to love having a baby sister :) Can't wait to meet the newbie...ouch at the tear but well done on the delivery!!

NonnoMum · 21/04/2011 08:22

Enjoy your baby. What a lovely time of year to be born (from a biased April-born one here!)

PlumBumMum · 21/04/2011 08:40

fingers crossed you are being preped right now for theatre, and home for the weekend

madmouse · 21/04/2011 08:43

Oh JKS I saw the photo and thought you were home already, shucks. Hope you get sorted soon today.

Such a mad thing isn't it, give birth at home then still end in hospital - but who knows what your labour would have been like in hospital so glad you got your HBAC Smile

SelinaDoula · 21/04/2011 08:45

Congratulations!
Hope your tear repair gets done soon and goes smoothly so you can get back home.

nickelbaalamb · 21/04/2011 10:44

Congratulations JKS! Grin

Welcome to the world Mary - sorry about your tears, but at least you got her HB, and it was quite quick, too wasn't it!

TheOriginalFAB · 21/04/2011 10:45

Congratulations and welcome to the world and mumsnet Baby Mary Smile.

simpson · 21/04/2011 11:28

just seen pics of Mary on FB, she is lovely Smile

JustKeepSwimming · 21/04/2011 12:26

Still waiting, sigh.

Met surgeon, seems fairly pessimistic, using lovely words like fecal incontinence.

On a drip for fluids - plus stockings, etc. Funny how I'm getting all the things I was so keen to avoid by staying at home.

M still doing brilliantly, wanted to clarify previous post was auto corrected, she is a chunk not chink! Blush

i wondered what you meant - thought you meant she was tiny...

I can't believe they're dragging their feet!
surely your stitches are rather important??? Shock

SupersonicDave · 21/04/2011 13:33

I'm so sorry that you are not snuggled up at home with baby Mary, and are stuck in hospital Sad will keep everything crossed for you xx

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 21/04/2011 14:39

JKS :(:(

So glad Mary is doing well. :)

Better for the surgeon to be pessimistic than too confident I would think, hopefully it means he will try really bloody hard to do a good job. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx
