cece · 16/02/2011 00:01

Absolutely!

MotherJack · 16/02/2011 00:02

Not according to my midwife, but I swear she lied Grin

PrettyCandles · 16/02/2011 00:04

One definitely not,
one definitely yes,
and one maybe, but we think not.

slim22 · 16/02/2011 00:05

if i did they did not tell me

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 00:08

Not during delivery, no - because I had been to the loo so many times prior to stage 2 that there was none left! My waters broke down the loo as well...

But I have always found that period cramps cause me to go to the loo a lot as well, and that pooing helps to ease the cramps - labour was just a more intense version of that!

nooooooooooooo

cece · 16/02/2011 00:41

With DC2 you can see it smeared on his shoulder in the first few photos we took of him after his birth Grin

madhattershouse · 16/02/2011 00:44

As far as I (and my partner) were aware no, and I have 4 dc's..1 set of twins. I do remember going to the loo very frequently as the contractions started...the body often expunges naturally before the birth. Hope that was not TMI!!

Nevereatyellowsnow · 16/02/2011 00:48

Yep Blush

Sparklies · 16/02/2011 01:48

Nope - but I think DH's curry the night before (which probably also helped trigger off the birth!) had a lot to do with that. I was very much running on empty by the time it came to that part of my body putting on a show for everyone!

Carnival · 16/02/2011 02:18

poo central, thankfully managed not to be too smelly

comixminx · 16/02/2011 02:24

Nope, not me (just one DC so far so maybe have this to come?!).

redpanda13 · 16/02/2011 02:26

My friend swears that the first thing she learned on her midwife course is how to remove poo discreetly

thumbdabwitch · 16/02/2011 02:37

SOmebody, I can't remember who, apparently relieved days of constipation on the labour couch... I'm sure there's a thread about it soemwhere...

cjdamoo · 16/02/2011 02:39

nope i made hubby check too incase they lied

Pepa · 16/02/2011 02:42

No three homebirths and not a poo in sight!

Lainey1981 · 16/02/2011 07:59

No, but i kept telling the midwife i felt like i needed to
" no dear that's the baby's head"

gorionine · 16/02/2011 08:02

No I do not think so, unless I have 4 times in my life had totally odourless pooGrin

zachsmama · 16/02/2011 08:05

I honestly don't know! I think I probably did but I really can't be sure and tbh at the time, I don't think I could have cared less!

GeekLove · 16/02/2011 08:16

Yes, not much in terms of quantity since I was pretty empty thoughout. I did know since the midwife did wipe my arse at least once and the pool did sort of have a 'shark attack in a toilet' look afterwards!

Northernlurker · 16/02/2011 08:20

NOt much at all wth the first two and yes a bit with the third. For some reason my body forgot to do the clear out thing in early labour!

EauRouge · 16/02/2011 08:20

No idea! If I did then the MWs were very discreet and quick about cleaning it up. I had the trots just before I went to hospital so maybe there was nothing left.

I'm having a home water birth this time and DH is very reluctantly on sieve duty Grin

Crawling · 16/02/2011 08:26

I did on both was no big deal.

pointissima · 16/02/2011 08:29

Oh yes!

And the only thing I remember about ante natal classes was that we were told that this definitely wouldn't happen
