I saw the old thread was not 'Active' but please take a look before you proceed. I have had a terrible experience with this company, they are not medically trained and al their sales and mentor staff are ex-customers, like a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. The therapeutic content is just a bit of science about adrenalin and that’s it... that all they’ve got. I got some of my money back through my credit card and now they are taking me to court because they want it back, and have double the amount because of my reviews, to silence me.

IF YOU HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE PLEASE GET IN TOUCH, I am alone trying to prove they are bad news. If you've been through their emotional blackmail sales experience or their programme pls let me know THANK YOU x

@TeenMinusTests

Anxiety is emotive. Recovering from it is emotive.

I totally agree.

However choosing help for your child, especially help that has high upfront costs should in my personal opinion (and people are welcome to disagree) be done with mainly a clear, logical head.

Otherwise what is to stop unscrupulous people from preying on desperate parents' anxiety?

ps Tink troll hunting isn't permitted on MN. Smile

You are so right, it is personal choice and if it works for those that choose to great. And I think we all chose with a clear, logical head - the same way I chose for my daughter to have grommets to try and help her hear better which in turn positively impacted her confidence, her social skills etc.
scowe · 06/10/2021 20:29

If you choose not to trust them, that is totally your choice, I’m definitely glad I decided too though

Omg I just wrote the longest reply for you then lost the lot just as I finished… I’m going to have to start again, I’ll move onto my laptop! 😭

@scowe

Here are some screen shots of some of the reactive, aggressive and threatening responses to Trustpilot reviews and Facebook posts.

For the reactive posts on Mumsnet, you can read through these threads.

 • Sharing of children's details and medical information in their website: On the Your Child Freedom Formula website there were videos where parents discussed their children's anxiety with mentors from the company, names and identifying information were included in the videos.
 • High pressure sales technique - See the sales script they accidentally emailed to daaxy, the webinar, use of High Ticket Coaching Academy methods, the recorded sales call on the File on Four program, and Sam's own admission in the interview on the program, that they had used these techniques but now believed that they were wrong.

And for info, as far as I can see, this is the only thread that was started by someone who had a bad experience with the company.

The original thread about YCFF was started by someone who was interested and wanted to find out other people's experiences.

Daaxy · 06/10/2021 22:22

Genuine question - how is it that PP is at risk?

PP/YCFF pre covid was an in person business that presumably was sustainable. Since covid the business has gone online (and created a 'marketing machine' - watch High Ticket webinar) hence a bigger target audience and reduced overheads to service the expanded customer base. The business is not regulated so no risk of being shut down? Martin referred to income of 95K in a month earlier in the year. I do not understand why the business is at risk of closure or why there is a need to change the company name again. There are 3 people in the 'breakthrough team' (sales team) according to the website. If the publicity on Mumsnet triggers a marginal drop in new customers I still do not understand why the business is at risk. The repeated change of company name does not inspire any confidence and does not help build confidence.

I think I may have been the only person that posted something positive about CAMHS on these threads, because I was lucky enough to be part of a pilot scheme which was really helpful for my family. I don't think anyone is disputing there is a massive failing in services for children suffering from anxiety. I expect if you look at other threads in this topic you will find lots of scrutiny of CAMHS as well.

For me, all that doesn't change the things that concern me about YCFF and the other companies run by the same people.

Mibb2 · 06/10/2021 22:30

^^ that was in reply to some of the posts on this and the other YCFF threads about CAMHS failings.

Daaxy · 06/10/2021 22:39
@Daaxy i don't understand what you mean by 'how do they react if you don't attend the sessions'? They encourage you to join because if you don't how is it going to work? The parents are the biggest key in all this working i would say from my own experience. If you don't want the help and advise and support, and i don't see why you wouldn't if you'd decided to commit, they you're not really committed to the programme so what can they do other than leave you to it. They can't force you to attend, but i've found them so helpful, that's why it's an odd question. There are sessions at different times during the day/evening so i usually manage to squeeze in 2 or 3 a week around work and everything else.
Scowe - I am aware that parent participation in the programme is central to it's success (makes sense) and that PP encourage the same, but they have have advised customers that by not attending 2/3 sessions a week they are at risk of the programme being suspended. I wondered how that worked in practise (my response was triggered by a post from a person who was struggling to fit in the required number of sessions)

scowe · 06/10/2021 22:56

@Daaxy i have read and taken on board this information, and i agree that the name change is a odd move, however i have also just posted a long post about our current experience with them, and our journey as family and hopefully that will help you understand why attending the sessions is paramount to our child's recovery. This whole programme is about the whole family engaging, and if you aren't attending and getting that support i fail to see how our child could successfully get to recovery. Please read it and you may get a better idea of what is involved. For now, it's been an incredibly long day for me as and i have another one tomorrow, so i'm off to bed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for me, i'm extremely glad we are going through this programme and feel that our family will be changed positively forevermore having been a part of this programme. I don't care how much the business makes, for me this is value for money, as i think you may start to see when you read my post. Again, i ask people not to be so judgemental until they have walked at least a day in our shoes. For those that wish to take more conventional routes i wish them all the very best of success too and hope that they too end up with a happy outcome after all, that's all that any of us want, whichever path we chose to go down.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 07/10/2021 08:19

My comments were on the writing style of some not all posters. Set my spidey senses tingling is all.

I'd agree with a previous poster in that any individual/company making claims like this around the most precious thing in our lives in exchange for a huge amount of cash should be prepared to be questioned and scrutinised. And absolutely the way they respond to this is indeed a mark of their integrity.

Wishing all genuine parents on this thread, and their kids, well. Never stop questioning though.

These replies don't answer any of my questions and concerns about the companies. The long posts with no paragraphs are really tiring and hard to read and the last one from bumfaceffs doesn't make any sense.

NoSquirrels · 09/10/2021 16:17

Glad to see Trustpilot takes its mission seriously. After all, it’s all about balance, being able to see all reviews good and bad.

I listened to the BBC Sounds documentary. Quite shocking to hear it all laid out with the script, even after following the threads here. Monetising this sort of business to a high-profit model is shameless.

SwanShaped · 09/10/2021 19:34

God they’re so dishonest!! Even if they had the best model for curing anxiety in the world, I still wouldn’t use them. I hate lying and deceit.

SwanShaped · 09/10/2021 19:59

Re the script, if you look at Sam’s YouTube channel there’s a video on her playlist of a guy closing a sale using high pressure techniques. A YouTuber in America. Not closing a sale for Your child freedom formula/WhateverTheCurrentNameIs.But for his own business. So she’s clearly had an interest in that for a while. The most recent trust pilot reviews are really sad.
